Psychologist and researcher Carol Dweck studied the impact our beliefs have on how we perceive ourselves and act. From this, she coined the concept of growth mindset, which refers to an openness to developing skills.
It is important to develop this mindset because positive thoughts encourage people to face challenges more effectively (Cherry, 2020). In addition, they increase well-being, reduce stress, and strengthen self-confidence and self-esteem (Hardy & Oliver, 2014).
OBJECTIVES:
Develop a winning mindset that promotes personal and professional flourishing in support of achieving one's goals.
Recognize and challenge limiting beliefs associated with realizing one's own potential.
Adopt new beliefs and resources that make it possible to successfully face adversity, adapt to change, and drive development.
